Welcome to Online Flute Lessons

Flute is a musical instrument of the woodwind Family. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sounds from the flow of air across an opening. Flutes are categoriezed as edge-blown aerophones, according to the instrument classification of Hornbostel-Sachs. A musician who plays the flute can be referred to as a flute player, a flautist, a flutist, or less commonly a fluter.

Learning in playing flute is not easy perhaps a beginner flutist struggles to make the first sounds and find the initial notes. The first few months are the most difficult and are critical for a young flutist. A beginner doesn’t need the finest or most expensive flute, all you need is a flute that responds freely, play the correct notes when the right keys are pressed, plays in tune with the other instruments in the band and can be repaired and adjusted as it needs it.

In any learning process, practice routines are very important to easily master the subject matter. Start your practice session with a warm up every time. Be sure to specify what you practice and how long your warm up and scales. If you are a beginner, your daily practice time should be equal the time of each of your lessons.
